Why I write Essays

Why do I write essays?

That's a good question. It's a necessary question. The word "Essay" is derived from the French word essayer, meaning "attempt." That's all an essay is really - an attempt. Essays are attempts to find the truth. Michel de Montaigne's Essais was essentially an attempt to find and express the truth of humanity and himself. So, why do I write essays? To find the truth - about other things, and myself. I write essays to tell stories, and evaluate them in order to find some measure of wisdom. That's about it. Try it, you make like it. Read some, you make like them. I recommend Klosterman myself.

That's about it, I guess. See y'all around.
